The beautiful century home is large, spacious and "the hostess is most welcoming." Great coffee starts the day, along with home cooked breakfast -- and is worth getting up for(until 8:15 am). Many guests have said coming to the Downtown Bed and Breakfast say it's "like being at home."
You will be warmly greeted by Linda and her beautiful Golden Retriever Lucy Patricia, and an Irish cat named Murphy the Road Scholar from Little Shemogue. Both have very good manners and will be at your fingertips for a pat.
The large rooms are spacious and bright. The house has 84 windows!! Each room has a terry robe, and towels -- "hung to dry" in the great outdoors -- to make yourself at home with.
The second floor rooms are decorated in 1950's antiques and all have comfortable double beds. One room has twin beds. Each room has a chest of drawers, desk and phone outlet. And each is spacious enough to be able to take a cot for the extra person in your party.
There is a portable phone that can be used all over the house for those private chats with the folks back home or while booking with the Whale watching tours.
