Linda's Blog #1
Dear
Barb and Arnie,
Another year begins. 2008 Whodathunkcit. I started the eye drops this
morning as well as a cousin coming over to start the tub. Or at least to
fill in the porcelain holes. My life continues, at its train wreck pace.
I
organized the drops on the kitchen table last night, and mom helped so I
had to systematize them again. Before the surgery there are two kinds
twice a day. After there are three, four times a day, two are for seven
days and the third for 21.
I
had to call Vancouver during the holidays to get the list of allergies I
have to medications. The receptionist called me directly, as the list
had not gone to the Doctor in Halifax, from the Doctor here in spite of
two letters I wrote, and countless phone calls and an office visit.
So
my stress levels have hit the heights, and went out with the dog and
jogged thru 168 cm of snow to try and bring it down. Other people in the
park were on skis, and we were passing them. I was in my new boots I had
purchased in Montreal, designed for construction.
I am
chasing mom around as she has a tendency to leave things about. I am
also making meals. We went out for a post Christmas turkey dinner at
relatives yesterday and it was excellent. I was late as I had to go
jogging again after cleaning the house. I will not be able to lift for
two weeks or strain. We went to bed early after having had a brisk nap
upon our return.
Lucy
goes to the dog day care today and Murphy is again going out to the
beach.
Mom
and I are off to the dinner theatre tonight, as the girls that I hang
out with have half price tickets. Halifax is on the agenda tomorrow.
Thinking of you, and wishing you all the best of life for 2008!
